Reference Value Report: Living Wage Report and 2025 Update for Urban Cambodia

This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for urban Cambodia. In the original report, the Living Wage corresponded to the Net Living Wage, as there were no payroll deductions at that time. The updated Anker Gross Living Wage is composed of a Net Living Wage plus a social security contribution. This revision reflects cumulative inflation between the original estimate and the present. Without adjusting for inflation, the original Living Wage would no longer be sufficient to ensure a basic but decent standard of living today, due to the erosion of purchasing power. Social security contributions were calculated based on the most up-to-date legal framework, which includes a 2% contribution on the gross wage. No income tax applies at this wage level.
