This report estimates a living wage for rural areas of the Atlantic and North Huetar regions of Costa Rica for 2025 using the Anker Methodology®, and replaces the previous benchmark conducted for these regions in 2017. Our estimate considers the 13-month payment (Aguinaldo) for a full-time worker as of May 2025. This amount is based on the cost of a basic but decent living standard for a reference family of four people, consisting of two adults and two children.
