2025 Reference Value Update Report: Living Wage Report for Rural and Urban Gabon
Abstract
This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Values for rural and urban Gabon to 2025. Between 2021 and 2025, inflation was 11.0%. The updated Gross Living Wage figures include income tax and mandatory social security contributions. Without adjusting for inflation, the original Living Wage would not suffice for a basic yet decent standard of living today due to reduced purchasing power. This update reflects the most recent tax laws and social security requirements.

Abstract
The Anker Living Wage Reference Value for rural Gabon and the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for urban Gabon, both based on 2021 estimates, incorporate a 95% confidence interval, reflecting the level of certainty in the estimate. These are the estimated monthly rural and urban wages workers need to be able to afford a basic but decent standard of living for a typical size family of 5 persons.
