2025 Living Income and Living Wage Update Report: Living Income and Living Wage Report for Rural Rembang, Central Java, Indonesia

This report provides updated estimates of the living income (family living expenses) and living wage for rural areas of Rembang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia, an important tobacco-growing region. The update for June 2025 takes into account inflation and changes in payroll deductions since the original Anker Living Income and Living Wage Study conducted in April–May 2024 (Pramudya et al., 2024).

2024 Benchmark Report: Living Income Report (with Living Wage Annex) for Rural Rembang, Central Java, Indonesia

This report estimated the living income for farming households in rural Rembang Regency in the province of Central Java, Indonesia. This was estimated using the Anker Methodology with the focus on the main tobacco growing areas in the regency. The living income was estimated to be IDR 5,332,004 (USD 335) per month as of July 2024 for a typical size family of 4 (2 adults and 2 dependants) based on information from the Population Census, demo graphic surveys and various publications of the Federal Bureau of Statistics of Indonesia (i.e. BPS-Badan Pusat Statistik)
