2025 Reference Value Update Report: Living Wage Report for Urban Jordan
Abstract
This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for urban Jordan in 2025. In the 2022 original report, the value consisted of a Net Living Wage and a social security contribution. The updated Anker Gross Living Wage comprises a Net Living Wage and mandatory social security contributions (7.5%) on the living wage. Without adjusting for inflation, the original estimate would not provide families with a basic but decent standard of living today, as its purchasing power would have declined. Mandatory deductions were calculated using the most current tax regulation.
