2025 Reference Value Update Report: Living Wage and Living Income Report for Rural Lao PDR
Abstract
This report updates the Anker Living Income Reference Value and the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for rural Lao PDR to June 2025, by adjusting for inflation since the original 2024 report. Between June 2024 and June 2025, the inflation rate in Lao PDR was 7.2%. Without accounting for inflation, this income would no longer be sufficient to maintain a basic but decent standard of living in 2025 due to reduced purchasing power.
