Benchmark Report: Living Wage Report and 2025 Update for Northwest Nicaragua

This report provides updated estimates of family living expenses and living wage for Northwest, Nicaragua, a region characterized by labor-intensive export agriculture, such as coffee, bananas, sugar cane and tobacco. The update for 2025 takes into account inflation and changes in payroll deductions since the original Anker living wage study carried out in October 2017 (Andersen and Hernani-Limarino, 2017).
