Kiriya Kulkolkarn

Kiriya Kulkolkarn holds a PhD in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University. She specializes in labour economics and development economics, with research spanning labour market transformation, green industrial change, and social protection. Her recent work focuses on how structural shifts, such as the transition to electric vehicles and national decarbonization policies, affect workers, SMEs, and vulnerable groups in Thailand. 

Beyond academia, she works closely with government agencies, labour unions, and international organizations to support evidence-based employment, skills, and social protection policies. Committed to advancing fair, inclusive, and sustainable development, Kiriya continues to engage in research and policy dialogue aimed at ensuring that economic and environmental transitions benefit all segments of society.
