Reference Value Report: Living Wage and 2025 Update for Urban Togo

This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for urban Togo for inflation to 2025. In 2023, as reported in the original study, the Living Wage was CFA 122,967 per month. Cumulative inflation during this period was 4.7%. The updated Anker Gross Living Wage for 2025 is CFA 133,597 (USD 235) per month, comprised of a Net Living Wage of CFA 123,144 (USD 216) plus CFA 10,453 (USD 18) in mandatory payroll deductions, which must be paid by law as contributions to social security (4%), universal health insurance (2.5%), and income tax. 4 Without adjusting for inflation, the Living Wage estimated in 2023 would not be sufficient for a basic yet decent standard of living in 2025, due to the erosion of purchasing power.
