Reference Value Report: Living Wage and 2025 Update for Rural Tunisia

This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for rural Tunisia for inflation to 2025. The original report estimated this at TND 695 (USD 245) per month for 2020, comprised of a Net Living Wage of TND 663 (USD 233) plus TND 32 (USD 11) for social security contributions.2 Cumulative inflation during this period was 41.2%. Without adjusting for inflation, the 2020 Living Wage would not be sufficient for families to maintain a basic but decent standard of living in 2025, as its purchasing power would have declined. The updated Anker Gross Living Wage for 2025 is TND 1,200 (USD 407) per month, comprised of a Net Living Wage of TND 936 (USD 318) plus TND 264 (USD 90) for mandatory social security contributions and personal income tax on the living wage. Mandatory deductions were calculated using tax laws in force in June 2025.
