This report updates the Anker Living Income Reference Value for rural Cameroon to 2023. The living Income reference value was originally estimated at CFA 155,746 in 2020. The updated value takes into account the inflation accumulated in the country from June 2020 to May 2023 and IMF inflation projections for the country in April 2023 for June 2023. Thus, the inflation estimated for the period June 2020 to June 2023 is 17.08% . The value updated to 2023 is CFA 182,349 (301 USD). Without accounting for inflation, the living income estimated in 2020 would not be sufficient for families to have a basic but decent standard of living in 2023, because the purchasing power of the living income would have decreased.
