Reference Value Report: Living Wage Report and 2025 Update for Rural Egypt

This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for rural Egypt to 2025. The updated Anker Living Wage consists of a Net Living Wage and mandatory social security contributions, health insurance, and income tax. This update reflects cumulative inflation of 140.1% between June 2020 and June 2025. Mandatory deductions were calculated using the most current tax regulations. Without adjusting for inflation, the original estimate would not provide workers and their families with a basic but decent standard of living today, as its purchasing power would have declined.
