Reference Value Report: Living Wage Update Report for Urban Egypt 2025

This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for urban Egypt. The updated Anker Living Wage for 2025 consists of a Net Living Wage and mandatory social security contributions and income tax. This update reflects cumulative inflation of 14.4% between June 2024 and June 2025. Mandatory deductions were calculated using the most current tax regulations. Without adjusting for inflation, the original 2024 estimate would not provide workers and their families with a basic but decent standard of living in 2025, as its purchasing power would have declined.
