Reference Value Report: Living Wage and 2025 Update for Urban Jordan

This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for urban Jordan to 2025. In the original report, the value for 2022 was JOD 361 (USD 508) per month, consisting of a Net Living Wage of JOD 334 (USD 470) and a social security contribution of JOD 27 (USD 38). The updated Anker Gross Living Wage for 2025 is JOD 379 (USD 535) per month, comprising a Net Living Wage of JOD 351 (USD 495) and JOD 28 (USD 40) for mandatory social security contributions (7.5%) on the living wage. Inflation during this period was 5.0%. Without adjusting for inflation, the 2022 estimate would not provide families with a basic but decent standard of living in 2025, as its purchasing power would have declined. Mandatory deductions were calculated using the most current tax regulation.
