Reference Value Report: Living Wage and Living Income Report and 2025 Update for Rural Lao PDR

This report updates the Anker Living Income Reference Value and the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for rural Lao PDR to June 2025, by adjusting for inflation since the original 2024 report. As of June 2024, the estimated living income for rural Lao PDR was LAK 5,766,638 (284 USD) per month. Between June 2024 and June 2025, the inflation rate in Lao PDR was 7.2%. Without accounting for inflation, this income would no longer be sufficient to maintain a basic but decent standard of living in 2025 due to reduced purchasing power. The updated living income for June 2025 is LAK 6,181,175 (285 USD) per month.
